  I was first introduced to HAYGAIN when we acquired a unit in our equine hospital (Hagyard) for cases that have been diagnosed with respiratory issues. We have used it for foals with severe Rhodococcus equi pneumonia to aid in reducing the amount of inhaled allergens when they eat hay. We have also steamed bedding (ie: straw, not shavings) for the same reduction of potential inhaled allergens. For our colic surgeries that are not eating well, we have used the HAYGAIN steamed hay to entice those horses to consume more roughage. The fresh aroma after the hay has been steamed appears to increase many horse's appetite post-surgery. I have first-hand experience with this product because not only do I use the HAYGAIN unit at my hospital, but for my own personal dressage and racehorses as well

  We are very pleased with our HAYGAIN; it is super! We have a large yard here at Lincomb Equestrian with some fed hay and some fed haylage. We are now feeding less haylage and more hay than before because it is so easy to use and the horses seem to prefer it to the haylage which is great because it works out more economical for us.

  HAYGAIN HAY STEAMERS have been worth the investment! Our horses look a million dollars, vast improvement in their condition which is showing up in blood tests and clean scoping which is now down to a minimum. They eat their hay so much better with not a scrap of wastage in the boxes and no wastage now in the hay barn as all the hay is steamed in the bale and then distributed. No mess.   They love their steamed hay! I have had to buy hay in this time and it is really rubbish quality, there is no smell to it and it is all stalk but I can tell you it comes out of the HAYGAIN looking a lot better than when it goes in

  While attending the Kentucky Rolex this year I was fortunate that my friend noticed a booth in the trade building for HayGain Hay Steamers. She new that my pony has heaves so she brought my attention to the HayGain steamers. We met Alan and Clint who were both so personable. I felt like we were friends the moment we started to talk. Alan was explaining to me about how the Haygain Steamer eliminates the need to soak hay for my pony. He was telling me about the riders that HayGain sponsors and all the big barns that use HayGain. I didn't really care about all that because I just have two horses. My pony Nutmeg and my horse Snickers. I started to tell Alan about my Nutmeg who has heaves and I started to cry! What poor Alan didn't know is while he was thinking about the Haysteamer and telling me about how it kills the spores in the hay and totally eliminates the dust, I couldn't help but wonder if this couldn't help Nutmeg and I started going down Memory lane. 
  This pony had taken my daughter from barrel racer and Little Britches Rodeo in grade-school and has grown up with her. They grew up together. The past few years Nutmeg has been coughing..this last winter was the worst. I brought her to the vet and they gave her steroids and antibiotics to clear out her lungs. While I was gone to the Rolex, my husband who was suppose to be soaking her hay while I was gone and wasn't reported that she was coughing more than ever. 
  It didn't take much to convince him that we really needed this haysteamer. I ordered on that day in April and have been really happy with the results so far. I love not having to soak hay! I can only imagine what that would be like in the winter. My hay is dust free, smells great and is more palatable for the horses to eat. The horses prefer the steamed hay to any dry hay. 
  Not only will the HayGain help Nutmeg the pony, but it will also help Snickers so that she will never develop heaves and have to go through what Nutmeg did. My daughter has done a lot of jumping with Snickers and I do natural horsemanship with her. 
  What I really appreciated about Clint and Alan were that it didn't matter to them that I didn't have the high priced horses and are top competitors. They knew that my horses mean the world to me, and they treated me just like they do their top customers. 
  I will recommend this HayGain steamer to all my horse friends because I now the value in it.
